About The Digi Garden

BIO

HI all!
Thanks for taking the time to get to know a little bit about the gal behind The Doodle Garden digis!

I'm Jennifer L Nilsson (but please, call me Jenn or Jenna!). And I am blessed to be able to work full-time from home as a licensed artist.

I enjoy creating bright whimsical pieces for manufacturers, but also wanted to be able to offer something to those who like to craft. So I have begun my journey with digistamp designs with my Etsy shop: The Doodle Garden.

It's fairly new, but is growing pretty fast and I am SOOO enjoying creating these little whimsies for YOU!

Prize:  5 single digis (sets not included) of winner’s choice

Ruby's Rainbow Challenge - Cute and Cuddly

This is my DT card for Rubys Rainbow challenge - Cute and Cuddly.
I decided to go with a christmas theme as I love this cute and cuddly Toby Tumble digi stamp available from Cuddly Buddly. I coloured the image with copics. The papers I used are from Nitwits. The round sentiment is also from Cuddly Buddly I think, I really must put my digis in order lol. I added some glitter and a large snowflake to finish the design.

Miss Claire Clown

Miss Claire Clown

This is my DT card for Sweet Sketch Wednesday - Sketch 175.

I have chisen to use this sweet little image of Miss Claire Clown and have coloured her in with copics. It was lots of fun to use such bright colours, I am normally quite a pastel person. I used papers from a Hot Of The Press pad ... I think, the cover came off ages ago. I added a bit of faux stitching and a flower with brad in the corner.

Colouring on Kraft

Colouring on Kraft

This is the card I made for my DT card for My Time To Craft - Colouring on Kraft.
I have to say it was a bit of a challenge, I have never used this medium for colouring before. I ended up using copics and pencils to give some texture and went around the Indigo Blu poppy with a white pencil to try and lift it a bit. The papers are Kay & Co. I finished off with some faux stitching and a butterfly.

Butterfly Princess

Butterfly Princess

This is my DT card for Sweet Sketch Wednesday - 174 Challenge.
I have used the beautiful Saturated Canary digi image - Butterfly Princess which I coloured with copics. I went for very sunshiny colours for a change. The papers are from a Hot of The Press 12x12 pad. I matted image and paper onto a peach pearl card. I added some lace and peace ribbon along the top and finished off with some flowers and brads. I drew some faux stitching around one of the papers and the image.

Saturated Canary
My name is Krista Smith. I am the artist behind the Etsy shop, Saturated Canary Digis. I began working in the stamping world about a year ago when I was hired to create rubber designs for the sweet Scottish company, Sugar Nellie. They launched my artwork under the name 'Simply Sassy.' I moved into the digital world just this past month (it's been a super busy month, indeed!). And-- I love it!! There is a little more freedom here, as I can create anything that pops into my head:)! I am so humbled by the artistic talent of the girls coloring in my designs-- it is truly an inspiration! Likewise, I am so thankful for the friendships I've made in this wonderful and lovely crafty community! It's been a true delight! I'd love for you to stop by my challenge/inspiration blog, Saturated Canary Challenge and join in the fun...And, while you're there, click over to my personal blog (Saturated Canary) and introduce yourself! I am a bit eclectic and touch on everything from family (I've got me a great one!) to fashion (obsessed!)...Please say 'hi!'...I'd love to be friends!:)

Sprinkled with sugar.

Sprinkled with sugar.

What a horrible day again, oh well gives me chance to catch up on some cards.

I decided to make a shaped card, a sort of half gatefold. The mice stamp I used is from Lili Of The Valley nad so is the text inside. I coloured mice with copics. I decorated with a flower and some pearls and added a bit of glitter to sugar.
